Plan Your Visit

Gate opening into the concert grounds is at 6: 00 PM. Show starts at 7:00 PM (Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate.) Tickets ordered the week of the show will be held at the Will Call table the night of the show. Tickets will be available in April.

Bring your lawn chairs or blankets to the concerts. All seating is on the lawn. Chairs can be provided for those in need on a first come basis. Picnic baskets are welcome provided they do not include glass, however we encourage you to support The Solon Springs Lions Club. They operate the concession stand. The menu includes brats, hot dogs, and snacks including freshly made popcorn, ice cream treats, beer, wine, soft drinks and bottled water. The concession stand sells beverages in plastic or cans in keeping with park policy. A great fundraising opportunity for the Lions to help our community.

Park Information

Lucius Woods Park and the concert shell is owned and maintained by the Douglas County Forestry Department. To book an event or request information regarding the Park or campground call Forestry at (715) 378-2219.

Lucius Woods Park and Lucius Woods Performing Arts Center are separate entities. Lucius Woods Performing Arts Center, a presenter of the programming Music in the Park, is a non-profit organization. Ticket and concert information is available by calling the LWPAC office at (715) 378-4272.

Lucius Woods Park is located in a beautiful 40-acre sanctuary named in honor of Nicholas and Emma Lucius who preserved the land and the environment during the early 1900s. The park is located in the Village of Solon Springs, Wisconsin on the shores of the Upper St. Croix Lake. It offers a beautiful swimming beach, playgrounds, nature trails, camping facilities, picnic areas with grills, and the Giesen Concert Shell.

Directions to the Park

Take US Highway 53 to business Highway 53, approx. 40 minutes south of Duluth/Superior. Our entrance is directly across from the Dairy Queen in the heart of Solon Springs. You can park in downtown Solon Springs and easily walk along the path to the concerts.
